When Clemenger BBDO asked if we could jump in and build a giant skill-tester, we simply replied, “How high?”
Design, construction and management of the 10-storey tall super-sized Magnatron was a giant undertaking. We dug giant holes, wrote giant manuals and installed a giant 30-metre crane with an 18 metre base enclosure, which eventually came to life at the biggest sporting event of 2010 – the AFL Grand Final.
With a giant audience of 3.4 million people seeing it on live TV as well as more than 100,000 fans walking past on their way to the MCG – it proved to be a giant success.
